Check in for pre-race registration will be from noon – 5pm on Friday June 22nd.  You will need photo identification to pick up your race bag.
Race day up until 30 mins before the race.

Directions and relevant information will be posted on the specific LUVMUD Event page.

WHAT IS THE DISTANCE OF THE RACE?
The total distance is approximately a 5k  . Each member of the team must complete the entire course, enter the mud pit together  and cross the finish line together. If you try to AVOID the mud pit you will be quickly escorted to the front of the pit where a crowd of 2000 people will BOO you.

WHAT ARE THE OBSTACLES?
Obstacles will include things ‘like’: low cargo net climb under,  a wall climb, hay bale obstacles, a wall climb, 2 NEW OBSTACLES , and OF COURSE the FINAL  MUD PIT!!!!!!  Some obstacles will have an “easy” route and “hard” route” so everyone can do them!

HOW HARD IS IT?
LUVMUD is designed to be a fun and challenging event for people of all levels of fitness.

HOW MUCH TIMES DO WE GET TO FINISH?
You’ll have 2 hours to finish the 5k. Most teams will finish between 30-60 minutes. You could go less than 2 miles per hour and still complete the course. For reference, a good brisk walk is usually about 3.5 mph.

WILL YOU PROVIDE A COURSE MAP?
Yes and the course will be clearly marked with volunteers throughout the course.

How old do you have to be to participate?
The minimum age is 10. If you are under 18, we also require a couple additional forms to be signed at the day of pre-registration by your parents.   We are having a “1 Mile Kid race” for 12 and under.. please see REGISTRATION for more info.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We are hoping for rain because you will have even more fun! The event goes on rain or shine. The only exception is if the venue forced us to close due to extreme circumstances.  If rainy or windy conditions become unsafe, we will alter the course accordingly.  If the Park Official cancels the event, we are under their authority.  No refunds will be given.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE IT?
Sorry, there will be no race refunds. If you cannot make it and would like to transfer your entry to another event, please contact us ASAP.  The transfer must occur before June 21st, 2012.  If you signed up and do not attend, you can pick up your race shirt at a determined location.

Can I register the day of the race?
If the event has not sold out, the remaining spots will be sold on Saturday on Saturday Morning for a walk up rate of $

Do you offer refunds on registration?
All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to other athletes.

What is the minimum age to race in LUVMUD
Racers must be a minimum of 13 years old to participate without a parent. Younger children can run with their parents on Saturday ONLY.

Will there be refreshments be available after the race?
Yes! Fruit, water and other snacks are available at the finish line.  PLUS there will be food for purchase by the finest food trucks in Memphis!

Can someone else pick up my race packet and goody bag at packet pick up?
No, each racer must pick up their race packet and goody bag at packet pick up where they will sign a waiver and show photo ID. No exceptions.

Is there shower equipment available after the race?
Yes! We have specially designed hosing area along with the Memphis Fire Department to get you cleaned off! – keep your clothes on though!

What does the Registration fee include? T-shirt, medal,etc.?
The registration fee includes:  official LUVMUD Race t-shirt, packet, and claim to fame that you completed the most amazing race in Memphis.

Will if be necessary to swim as part of the obstacles?
No – LUVMUD does not have any swimming.

I want to walk the course….am I able to walk around the mud part?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!   You’ll have to crawl through the mud pit to make it to the finish line!

Can friends and family attend to watch the race? If so, will there be an area for spectators at the beginning and/or end of the race?
Yes – We encourage your friends and family to come watch and there will be PLENTY for them to do! We will have plenty going on race day for everyone to enjoy.  Especially kids!

Can we pick up our race packet the day of the race?
Yes – you can pick up your packet the day of the race. BUT IT IS PREFERRED THAT YOU PICK UP YOUR RACE BAG ON FRIDAY

Be sure to come early so that you can have ample time to park and avoid the morning rush!

Can we form a team?
ABSOLUTELY – 2-person, 4-person and 4+ teams are allowed.  You can only register 1, 2 or 4 at a time.  Just make sure your team name is the same on multiple registrations.

Will there be a photographer on site taking pictures of the runners?
Yes – We will have multiple professional photographers be at the event to capture every muddy minute! You will then have the opportunity to purchase these pictures after the event.

Are there areas along the course where family/friends/spectators can photograph the athletes during the competition?
The best place to come spectate the race and take pictures will be at the mud pit! The mud pit will be just before the finish line which is right near the main festival area…so there will also be plenty of other things to do and check out!

Can a person of average shape participate or do you have to be an elite athlete?
LUVMUD is designed for people of all fitness levels to enjoy themselves and have a great time out on the course!  You can choose between easy and hard obstacles as you approach them.

Are there volunteers that help point the way or offer assistance if needed?
Have no fear! The course is extremely well marked, so you will not have any difficulty finding the way. AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF VOLUNTEERS AROUND.
