The Memphis LUVMUD is proud to partner with Habitat for Hope as the charity partner. Habitat for Hope is an amazing organization that is doing great things in the city of Memphis, TN.
Habitat for Hope is a committed group of volunteers and staff who work to form community around families who have traveled to the mid-south to receive medical care for their children. They exist to support, serve, and care for families facing the serious or long-term illness of a child.
Their approach is active and holistic. They come alongside families and provide practical, emotional, spiritual, and respite care. They step in to the life of a strained family and commit to a relationship extending beyond the illness of the child – wherever the journey may lead. They serve families by feeding them, providing lodging, helping with transportation, inviting them into our homes for gatherings, counseling, and staying in close contact once they return home. Recognized as a non-profit in 2005, Habitat for Hope has served over 200 families. Their team’s personal experience with illnesses of loved ones creates deep empathy and compassion for those we serve.
Their vision is to expand our services across the nation to other communities, and to create a facility in Memphis that families from all over the world will access for respite, hospice and long-term lodging.
